What do you like most about the Victoria Yoga Conference? I am always swept up in a wave of feeling like everything is right in the world when I’m at the VYC. There is such an energy of illumination and love, amazing souls sharing and learning the practices that have uplifted humanity from the beginning of time.
How do you recharge your batteries? Oil, oil and more oil. My daily morning self-massage practice with warm aromatic Ayurvedic oils is DIVINE! This really restores me more than anything.
Do you have any healthy eating secrets? The intentional daily use of lavishing my foods with herbs, spices and plant essences. I am IN LOVE with the aromatic beauty of these magical gifts of nature and more than anything they make me feel alive, connected and filled with pleasure.
What is your guilty pleasure? Ha! I no longer feel guilty about any pleasure!
How did you begin to practice yoga? When I was working long crazy days as an art director in a New York Advertising agency in the late eighties, I would go 3 days a week to Dharma Mittra and his wife Eva’s yoga classes and they saved me during those years! I loved the studio, a small space with fluffy purple carpets and nag champa incense infusing the walls. Those were the most brilliant yoga sessions and it was also there that I first heard about Ayurveda.
