What or who inspires you? When I teach, and I see new learnings or breakthroughs in my students’ understanding or practices, that is what keeps me fueled as a teacher and keeps me on this teaching path. I love to witness “first times”!

How did you begin to practice yoga? The first time I tried yoga, I hated it! It took me several years to come back to it and find a teacher who supported and inspired me. When I first started teaching yoga I was living in Taiwan, so my first experiences teaching yoga were ESL.

What is your favorite season and why?  SUMMER. Because it’s warm. And sunny. And beautiful. And the world is ALIVE. Did I mention it’s warm?

If you could spend one day anywhere in the world where would it be?  India. In an ashram. With my teacher. Near the beach. With a nice hot Chai waiting for me after my morning meditation and practice. Which I can drink while watching the sun rise higher and higher, beginning to bake the Earth and warm the Ocean for my morning swim. Mmmmmm……

What advice would you give your younger self? You know all the yoga you keep traveling around the world doing and can’t get enough of? That you think is just for fun and your personal evolution? You will make a career out of that yoga some day. Yes you can. And you will. 🙂

What do you like most about the Victoria Yoga Conference?
When large groups of people come together with the similar intention of increasing peace and love in the world, of bettering the world through bettering the self, of increasing self-knowledge and thus evolving awareness and consciousness, of joining, laughing, and sweating with people on similar paths, well, the possibilities are simply limitless 🙂
