Do you have a personal philosophy you live by? Happiness is a choice. When you are happy, everyone around you feels better. Smiling is contagious. (Try it!)

What is your favourite quote? “Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage.” — Anais Nin

How do you recharge your batteries? I often need action to reboot: Yoga, road biking, stand-up paddleboarding, hiking and so on. Other times, I need to get off the grid, find a quiet beach and lose myself in a really good book.

Do you have any healthy eating secrets? Eat what you want to eat. I’m a vegetarian and most days I love a good salad. At the same time, a cold beer and French fries on a sunny patio? Yes, please. And whatever you eat, enjoy it.

Describe your personal yoga practice: I move and I breathe. My own practice is very dynamic and fluid, wrapped around vinyasa and rooted in what I need on any given day.

What do you like most about the Victoria Yoga Conference?  It’s really an awesome and accessible community event, with so many great teachers and all types of classes. I think there’s something for everyone.
