Many people choose a word for their year.  Do you have a word for 2016? Embrace.

What is one book have you read over and over again? Small Wonder by Barbara Kingsolver
What is your favourite quote?

“Our calling is where
our DEEPEST GLADNESS
and the WORLD’s HUNGER meet.

Do you have any healthy eating secrets? I am a consummate meal planner. Forecasting what I will eat through the week helps me to be more organized, reduces food waste, and curbs the habit of grabbing food on the go (which are often not the healthiest choices).

If you could spend one day anywhere in the world where would it be?  My happy place is the wildly tormented coast between Tofino and Ucluelet. It is the place I return to again and again when I need to recharge, heal, rejoice and connect to myself and those I love.

What do you like most about the Victoria Yoga Conference? I love that the VYC provides a diverse breadth of what we need as practitioners and teachers of yoga: asana, community connection, food for the body and soul, business know-how.

I teach yoga because I aspire to inspire. I believe that we are capable of igniting a revolution from within. On our yoga mats, we practice not just the physical asanas. We practice loving ourselves unconditionally; we practice honouring our own limitations but also our unlimited potential; we practice consciously creating peace within ourselves. When we emerge from our yoga practice as renewed human beings, we radiate peace. We are ready to create an upward spiral that unites us all. I am a yoga teacher whose day job is to help businesses find and broadcast their authentic voice.
