Melanie Phillips (BFA, E-RYT, CAS) Is a certified Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist with advanced training under the direction of Dr. Vasant Lad, one of the leading pioneers of Ayurvedic Medicine in North America. Having immersed herself in ashram living and study at the Bihar University in India, and having taught yoga since 2000, her embodiment of Ayurveda, yoga, and a multitude of energy modalities has earned her excellence in leadership, teaching, and mentorship for those seeking a way home to their intuitive and brilliant nature.
Melanie created the Madhuri Method, an Ayurvedic Yoga advanced training for yoga teachers after witnessing the need for yoga to be offered in a way that allows for healing at any age, stage, or level of health. She also offers Inner Mastery Mentorship programs based in Ayurveda, yoga and energy work to facilitate and support healing at the root cause of imbalance—to provide a fresh perspective; integrate the lifestyle changes necessary to achieve great health and provide support and guidance in mindfulness based energy psychology.

What or who inspires you? I’m totally inspired by ice climbing and mountaineering. I’m fascinated by these activities and love doing things that I never would have imagined I could. It’s humbling and invigorating.
Many people choose a word for their year. Do you have a word for 2018? LOVE.
Do you have any healthy eating secrets? Listen to your body. Eat your largest meal at mid-day. Eat warm food if you have gas/ bloating (not raw/ cold). Give thanks before you put anything in your mouth.
What is your guilty pleasure? I don’t feel guilty about it but I do love salted dark chocolate. 😉
What advice would you give your younger self? Everything will come at the perfect time.
