The first time I laid in savasana after a yoga class I thought, “WHOA! I need more of this in my life!” Previously I’d been a full time Ironman distance athlete, and after a near-fatal car crash came back to race again. It was all documented in a film called “A Second Chance.” Funny enough, I had a second chance and I was missing it for speed, results and being relentlessly hard on myself. I became a Kundalini Yoga teacher to learn more about the practice, never intending to teach, until I realized it’s a dis-service not to. Janelle is also a Game Changing Performance Coach and Speaker.
I love the Victoria Yoga Conference because: Community! This entire event is made up of teachers and students of all levels of experience who create a powerful space of love together! Words cannot describe – you have to experience it to know for yourself! The Victoria Yoga Conference is community.

What quality do you admire most in others and why? Those who are willing to express themselves when what they have to say can make a difference, especially in the face of little/no agreement. Equally, I admire those who have the wisdom to say nothing at all, when they have nothing to say that will make a difference.
Many people choose a word for their year. Do you have a word for 2018? Vitality.
How do you recharge your batteries? A good “sweat.” Whether in a workout, a yoga class, a steam room or a tropical climate. Sweat changes everything.
Do you have any healthy eating secrets? Not eating after 7:30 pm or before 9 a.m gives my body the opportunity to rest and digest and keeps me from consuming more than my body needs.
What advice would you give your younger self? Relax. Just relax.
