We are beyond excited for the 2018 Conference. Thank you for being a part of it! Here are all the details you need to know to make your Conference experience the best it can be. Most Important:

  1. Pick up your conference package in advance of the Conference Opening at lululemon
  2. Friday night is at Alix Goolden Hall – 7 pm – you must have a wristband for admittance
  3. Saturday and Sunday are at UVic – shuttle details, parking, class locations are below

Check Your Schedule Online

You can check your schedule and classes at anytime by logging back into our registration site.  The room names have now been added.  You will receive a printed copy of your schedule, along with the appropriate rooms when you pick up your registration package.  If you would like to print a copy of the schedule-at-a-glance it is available to download here.

Registration Package Pick Up
For All Pre-Purchased Tickets

You can pick up your registration package at lululemon – 584 Johnson Street in Victoria between 3 pm and 6:15 pm on Friday, February 9th. If you are attending Friday night’s Illumination Event you must have your wristband on your wrist!  Any registration packages/wristbands not picked up Friday can be picked up at UVIC on Saturday or Sunday at the main registration desk upstairs in the Cadboro Commons (open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm). Please note that your wristband must be worn all weekend and is non-transferable.

Friday Night
Illumination Event and Conference Opening Night

This event is at Alix Goolden Hall located at 907 Pandora Street in downtown Victoria. The evening features multiple different speakers and performances including acro yoga, belly dancing and more. For attendees with a Full Access pass the Friday evening event is included. Note:  you must be wearing your wristband, picked up in advance at lululemon.  If you have a one day pass and would like to purchase tickets for you/friends, click here.

Workshops, Classes & Wellness Market at UVic

Packages not picked up Friday evening will be at UVIC at the main registration desk located on the top floor of the Cadboro Commons Building between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm on February 11th and 12th.  A map showing the various locations and parking we are using at the University is located here.  Be sure to visit the Wellness Market between 9:30 am and 5:00 pm on both days.

Getting to UVIC – BUS Shuttle

We are providing a bus shuttle from the Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina by APA to the University of Victoria on both Saturday and Sunday of the Conference. The shuttle will be leaving the Coast Harbour Hotel at 7:00 am to arrive at UVIC at 7:30 am allowing you time to find your first class. Please arrive before 7:00 am to catch the shuttle. The shuttle will be leaving UVic at 7:00pm on Saturday and 6:45pm on Sunday when the final class is complete and will go directly back to the hotel. Even if you are not staying at the hotel you are welcome to use the shuttle.  There is no shuttle on Friday night.

Parking at UVIC

The closest parking lot to Cadboro Commons and the Student Union Building is Lot 5. If this parking lot is full then we recommend parking in Lot 1 or Lot 2. See the UVIC parking map by clicking here. Parking is $3.00 for the day on Saturday and free on Sunday.

Class Locations

There are three buildings that our classes will be taking place in. Most classes will occur in the Cadboro Commons Building or the Student Union Building. SUP Yoga classes will take place in the McKinnon Gym Pool.

Food & Beverage

There will be water stations in each room.   We also are pleased to have Earth’s Herbal returning as well as Good Life Juice.

This year attendees have the opportunity to purchase the lunch buffet and if you purchased in advance you’ll receive your tickets when you pick up your registration package.  Lunch will be served:

  • Saturday – noon to 1 pm
  • Sunday – 11:30 am to 12:30 pm

in Village Greens located downstairs in the Cadboro Commons Building. 

IF you did not pre-purchase your lunch other food options onsite include bringing your own or Mystic Market Flamin’ Grill 11:00am-3:00pm, Cap’s Bistro (Serving hot menu from Commons) 7:30am–7:30pm, BiblioCafé 8am–3pm

Wellness Market

The Wellness Market is located both upstairs in the Cadboro Commons building and in the Village Greens. The Market is open from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm on the Saturday and Sunday of the Conference. The Wellness Market is also open to the public both days for free.

Coat & Bag Check

We will be providing a coat and bag check (by donation to The Om Work Project) in the main floor of the Cadboro Commons building.  The hours are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm so please ensure you pick up your items before your last class.

Consent Cards

You will receive one consent card when you pick up your wristband. This consent card can be used in any class over the weekend to indicate whether or not you would like hands on adjustments. Feel free to use this card if it calls to you or save it for future.   More details can be found at http://www.consentonthemat.com

Conference Text Hotline

  • Friday, February 9 from 3 pm to 9 pm
  • Saturday, February 10 and Sunday, February 11 from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm

We will answer texts received including questions about class locations, directions, etc. Please only use this number during the above listed hours.

Additional Information

  • The Victoria Yoga Conference is hosted in a scent free environment. Please respect the comfort of others and enjoy a ‘scent free’ weekend.
  • No showers are available at the University of Victoria, you may be able to pay a drop in fee at the pool to use the showers there.
  • We might not have enough props for each class so please feel free to bring your own block, strap, bolster or blanket along with you.
  • We recommend dressing in layers so that you can be a comfortable temperature no matter the type of class you are attending.
