About the Victoria Yoga Conference

On February 1–3, 2013 the Victoria Yoga Conference (VYC) will host a weekend of inspiration, motivation and deep learning about the practice of yoga in Victoria, BC.

You are invited to join us!

The Victoria Yoga Conference will include yoga practice, community yoga classes, guest speakers and a series of workshops. The conference will draw 300+ attendees with many classes to choose from, as well as exhibitors to visit in our market place.

Conference pass holders will gain access to 60 yoga classes by renowned teachers like Sadie Nardini and Ryan Leier, and those unable to attend the full conference will still be able to participate in a dozen $10 Community Classes, which also grant access to the marketplace.

At Friday night’s welcome party, we will welcome inspirational speakers Gabrielle Bernstein and Danielle LaPorte to our community dinner and networking event. On Saturday night, Canadian singer-songwriter and yoga teacher Will Blunderfield will perform songs from his latest album, followed by a Kirtan Jam of local Kirtan artists.

YogaThon – 108 Sun Salutations

On January 19, 2013, the Victoria Yoga Conference will host a YogaThon fundraiser for yoUnlimited Yoga. Set to music from DJ Rowan and hosted by Jala Yoga‘s Tracey Noseworthy, the event will include 12 teachers leading nine sun salutations each, for a total of 108 sun salutations.

Giving Back

At the heart of the Victoria Yoga Conference is a strong component of giving back through initiatives like charitable yoga calendars, and the Breathe Fore Life Scholarship, which will be awarded to a yoga teacher committed to bringing healing through yoga into the community.
